Our host cities have generously supported our regional work by providing grants, staff support, office space, and other in-kind support.
City of Buenos Aires, Argentina
ICLEI's Latin America and Caribbean Secretariat is hosted by the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
City of Cape Town, South Africa
ICLEI's Africa Secretariat moved to Cape Town, South Africa in January 2007 and is generously hosted by the City of Cape Town. Cape Town was the host of ICLEI World Congress 2006
City of Freiburg, Germany
ICLEI's European Secretariat opened in Freiburg, Germany, in 1992 and is generously supported by the City of Freiburg. Freiburg was the host of the Local Renewables Conferes in 2007.
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Korea
ICLEI's Korea Office is generously hosted by the Self-Governing Province of Jeju. The office officially opened in May 2002 in Seoul, Korea, and was previously hosted by KLAFIR (Korean Local Authorities Foundation for International Relations).
City of Melbourne, Australia
ICLEI's Oceania Office opened its doors in 1999. The office receives ongoing support from the City of Melbourne, Australia.
City of Bonn, Germany
ICLEI's World Secretariat has found a new home in Germany since 2010 with the generous support of the City of Bonn. The first WS office opened in 1991 hosted by the City of Toronto (Canada).

The move of ICLEI's headquarters to Bonn, Germany was formalized through the signing of a host agreement by Lord Mayor Jürgen Nimptsch and ICLEI Secretary General Konrad Otto-Zimmermann in the presence of President David Cadman.
ICLEI's Executive Committee witnessed the signing at its annual meeting in Copenhagen on 13 December 2009.
Lord Mayor Nimptsch said that the City of Bonn is lucky about having been chosen by ICLEI as the new seat for its headquarters. Bonn hosts a variety of UN bodies, among them the UN Climate Secretariat (UNFCCC), and numerous development organizations.
