ETS and Google Collaborate on Transit Trip Planning

The City of Edmonton is making eco-friendly traveling easier by teaming up with Google to make planning a trip on public transit hassle-free and simple. Google Maps uses data from the ETS Trip Planner to generate public transit travel directions as easily as driving directions.

"We are pleased to be working with the City of Edmonton to offer Transit in Google Maps to Edmontonians," said Jessica Wei, Strategic Partner Development Manager for Google. "As the capital of Alberta, Edmonton hosts millions of people every year, and we share a commitment to helping residents and visitors get around through public transit. We hope this essential service in Edmonton will be even more convenient to use."

There are now eight cities in Canada offering transit trip planning on Transit on Google Maps.
