It considers the planning and design frameworks that are critical to sustainable growth. How do our cities and towns tackle their vulnerabilities to become dynamic regions of growth? How can the core principles of planning and design adapt to the demands of climate change, demography and socio-economic needs? Planning for Sustainable and Liveable Cities: A new short course run by Capire Consulting and the Planning Institute of Australia (Victoria division)6–9 July, Melbourne.Convened by Fulbright Scholar, Dr Iain Butterworth, this four-day short course explores ways to ensure that development is humanly, socially and ecologically sustainable.
