COP 11: Fourth Municipal Leaders Summit on Climate Change, 5-7 December 2005, Montréal, Canada
As a parallel event to the 11th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP11) and first Meeting of the Parties (MOP1) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Fourth Municipal Leaders Summit on Climate Change took place in Montréal. Over 300 participants from 37 countries took part in this Summit convened by ICLEI. Local government leaders gathered to make further commitments on climate change, showcasing the latest knowledge and best practices, exploring opportunities, and networking with other local governments from around the world.
