Experts

Expert Speakers for your National Conversation Event

The following is a directory of scientists and journalists interested in presenting their work to the public. It is an excerpt from the report "Communicating on Climate Change: An Essential Resource for Journalists, Scientists, and Educators" by Bud Ward, published by the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography.  The report summarizes the findings of workshops, funded by the National Science Foundation in 2007, that directly connected journalists and scientists to discuss accurate and engaging reporting on climate change science.  We encourage you to consider contacting these experts or others at your local universities to participate in your National Conversation event.

You can view biographies for the individuals listed below by going to http://environmentwriter.org/scienceandthenews/index.htm and clicking on the individual workshops. If you would like further assistance in contacting a particular individual listed, please contact us at climateconversation@iclei.org with the subject line “Expert Request."
