LAB pioneers produce more biodiversity reports

11 LAB pioneers produce biodiversity reports

The first step of the Local Action for Biodiversity project process is to compile a biodiversity report, which describes the ecology, governance, integration and mainstreaming of biodiversity as well as public participation and awareness-raising around biodiversity in each participating local government area . To date, 11 of the 21 LAB pioneers have produced and printed their biodiversity reports:

These reports can be downloaded by clicking on the names of cities above.

A further seven pioneers are in the final stages of producing their biodiversity reports.

LAB Biodiversity reports: cornerstones of future conservation efforts

The biodiversity reports produced by the LAB pioneers are the cornerstones of future biodiversity conservation efforts and awareness raising within each of the LAB local governments, both for the local public and politicians, as well as at national and international scales. The biodiversity reports have shown success in profiling the LAB pioneers’ local biodiversity and in providing valuable baseline information used to set priorities for future action for biodiversity.
