The CCP-NZ Actions Profile 2009 was compiled with data provided by the 34 councils particpating in the Programme, showing that more than 400,000 tonnes carbon dioxide-equivalent has been saved over the life of the Programme. At least 133,300 tonnes CO2-e is being abated each year.

This protocol provides an easily implemented set of guidelines to assist councils to quantify the greenhouse gas emissions from both their own internal operations and from the communities that they govern. The protocol could be applied to many organisations, however this version has been written specifically with the unique situation of local governments in mind.
