Product Policy

Organisations wishing to have their products and/or services listed within the Sustainable Public Lighting Toolbox should refer to the ICLEI Oceania Product Policy below.

Product Promotion Policy

The Sustainable Public Lighting Toolbox aims to provide timely information about sustainable lighting technologies relevant to local government. In the absence of a nationally accepted assessment and accreditation process for sustainable lighting technologies, ICLEI Oceania will only include information about technologies that meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of NATA Accredited load test report for a minimum of 10-20 luminaires;
  • Completion of all tests required under AS 1158.6;
  • Supply of I table in CIE format;
  • IP rating for lamp and control gear chamber;
  • Commercially available.

Suppliers of public lighting technologies wishing to have their product information placed on the Toolbox can contract Ironbark Sustainability or an alternative provider to arrange a technical assessment of their technology against the listed criteria.

Promising new technologies that have been installed under trial arrangements may be included on the Emerging Technologies page.

Please note that ICLEI Oceania does not endorse any particular lighting product or service, rather maintains the Toolbox as an information service for local government.

For further information, contact ICLEI's Public Lighting Manager.
