We inform you that COP participants are facing a difficult accommodation situation in Poznan during the COP 14, with most hotels being pre-booked within the surrounding 100km.
Accommodation in Lichen Stary (Hotel Magda)
Our local partner, the Association of Polish Cities, has arranged for participants to be accommodated at the Hotel Magda in Lichen-Stary, where the first day of the Local Government Climate Sessions will take place.
The Hotel Magda in Lichen Stary is located 15 km away from Konin, which is itself located 100km east of Poznan on the main train line connecting Poznan and Warsaw. A special train shuttle service will however be organised exclusively for participants during the core conference days in order to reduce the traveling time to approximately 1 hour. (Details about the shuttle services available below)
We encourage you to book early by filing the Hotel booking form. The Hotel Magda will offer flexible cancellation and modification conditions.

Accommodation in Poznan
Participants wishing to be accommodated directly in Poznan are encouraged to explore the following options:
- Look for accommodation with or through their national delegation in Poznan.
- Try to find accommodation through the COP-14 official accommodation agency in the hope that some hotel capacity will be released in the upcoming weeks. We however inform you that there is a long waiting list.
- Use any other opportunity to find accommodation in villa, apartments or bed & breakfast.
Special airport and train station transfer services to Hotel Magda
Our Polish partner has organised additional transfer services to Hotel Magda from the Poznan airport and the main railway station for participants arriving on 8 and 9 December. Those transfer services will run in conjunction with the main flights and train arrivals. Schedules are also available in the Practical Information section of the LGCS.

8 December
13:30: Shuttle bus from Poznan Lawica Airport to the Hotel Magda.
14:00: Shuttle bus from Poznan Main Train Station to the Hotel Magda.
18:30: Shuttle bus from Poznan Lawica Airport to the Hotel Magda.
19:00: Shuttle bus from Poznan Main Train Station to the Hotel Magda.
9 December
12:30: Special Shuttle train from Poznan Main Train Station (Platform 5) to Hotel Magda.
17:30: Shuttle bus from Poznan Main Train Station to the Hotel Magda.
18:00: Shuttle bus from Poznan Lawica Airport to the Hotel Magda.
For people arriving in Konin with the public train, additional buses will run from the Konin train station to the Hotel Magda during those days in conjunction with the main train arrivals. Alternatively, a taxi can be hired from the Konin train station and will bring you to the Hotel Madga for about 40 PLN.
Departure
Our Polish partner will also collect your requests during the conference to organise similar transfer services for your departure after the conference.
Shuttle services between Lichen Stary (Hotel Magda) and Poznan
During the core conference days, special shuttle services will be organised between Hotel Magda and the main train station Poznan Glowny, 200m away from the Poznan International Fair.
9 December
12:30: A special train shuttle will depart from Poznan main train station (Platform 7) to Konin and the Hotel Magda. (There is a restaurant available at Hotel Magda).
21:30: Return to Poznan by bus.
10 December
7:30: A special bus shuttle will depart from Hotel Magda to Konin, followed by a special train shuttle to the Poznan main train station, 200m away from the LGCS venue.
21:00: A special train shuttle will depart from Poznan maintrain station(Platform 7) to Konin and the Hotel Magda.
11 December
7:30: A special bus shuttle will depart from Hotel Magda to Konin, followed by a special train shuttle to the Poznan main train station, 200m away from the LGCS venue.
21:30: A special train shuttle will depart from Poznan maintrain station (Platform 7) to Konin and the Hotel Magda.
Public transportation by train to Konin
Apart from the above mentioned special shuttle services, there are additional public trains running approximately every hour between Konin and the Poznan main train station.
