The Climate Action Handbook for Local Governments is a resource guide on actions that local governments worldwide can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It includes information on how municipalities can encourage environmentally conscious activities and offers examples of actions local governments can take to reduce global warming emissions and implement the commitments for climate protection called out in the U.S. Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement (MCPA). The guide covers simple next steps available to individual municipalities which range from various policies and resolutions, to accessible measures, tools, and also includes best practices and available resources.  To access the handbook, log in to the Members Only section of the website or contact publications@iclei.org.
