This meeting of ICLEI’s Council set the cornerstones and sought to define the mandate for the organization over the following six years. Active participation was open to Full ICLEI Members only, while non-Members were welcome as observers.
Elements included:
- Summary of the Congress
- Members Proposal Panel : Based on the past days’ sessions and the opportunities for partnership presented, Members shared their conclusions and brought forward proposals emerging from the Congress. The session involved newly elected Executive Committee members and Members of the ICLEI Advisory Council.
- President’s Proposal : The newly re-elected ICLEI President summarized the Congress outcomes and the proposal of ICLEI’s Strategy for 2009-2015.
