Agenda
Taking Local Steps, Changing the World Milestone Methodology - Set, Track, and Meet Community Goals
Summary:
All Albuquerque Local Action Summit participants were assigned to one group ICLEI Five Milestone Climate Methodology. The simulation provided an opportunity to work with peers from around the country testing options, gaining valuable knowledge and experience, and perspectives on the Milestones to apply at home.
Summit participants became the citizens of Anytown, North America, as they took on a wide variety of community roles to understand typical interaction among local elected officials, staff people, and business people, and residents. The goal of the exercise was to provide a risk-free yet challenging setting in which to examine and internalize the Milestones.
