Biography:
Ms. Fiffick is the Director of the Office of Environmental Quality for the City of Dallas. The Office of Environmental Quality provides environmental regulatory and stewardship assistance to City Departments, and hosts a variety of environmental training and outreach events for the City. Ms. Fiffick is also responsible for leading the implementation of an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on ISO 14001 for 11 City Departments, and collaborating with federal and state environmental agencies. Prior to the City of Dallas, Ms. Fiffick was the Environmental Affairs Manager for the Port of Houston Authority, where she was responsible for environmental and industrial hygiene compliance. Ms. Fiffick led the Port Authority through ISO 14001 certification, was extensively involved with maritime air quality issues, and assisted with 404/401 permitting for a large container and cruise terminal. Ms Fiffick received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Science in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She attended law school at South Texas College of Law. She is also a Certified Safety Professional.
