Biography:
Jonathan Dickinson is a Senior Policy Advisor in the New York City Mayor’s Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability, where he is responsible for developing the City’s climate change policies, completing greenhouse gas emissions inventories, and implementing the climate change adaptation initiatives of New York City’s comprehensive long-term sustainability plan, PlaNYC. Prior to joining this office, he was the Deputy Director of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Environmental Coordination, where he focused on climate change policy, brownfields redevelopment, and environmental review. Before serving in City government, Jonathan worked for several years in the environmental education field. He holds a B.A. in English from Hobart College and a Master of Marine Affairs degree from the University of Rhode Island, where his concentration was coastal zone management.
