Biography:
Hans Hertle is a climate change and energy scientist at Institute for Energy and Environmental Research Heidelberg, Germany (IFEU).  IFEU is a non profit private company founded 1978. Its expertise covers areas like environmental implications of transport, energy supply and renewable energy sources, life cycle assessment, air pollution control, sustainable development, environmental impact assessment, and environmental management. As a general partner of IFEU Hans was supporting communities forcing climate change actions since 20 years. His work focuses on efficiency of buildings, energy management, renewable energies, energy labelling on a local, regional and EU-wide level, balancing and benchmarking climate change measures. Hans helped the german federal environmental agency (UBA) develop a german footprint tool for citizens and advised german ministries amongst others by prospective standards of construction, the efficient use of renewable energies and the implementation of national support programs. Hans is a graduate engineer trained in university of applied sciences Esslingen, Germany.
