Biography:
Arne Jungjohann is with the Heinrich Boell Foundation (Washington, DC). As the Director for the Environment and Global Dialogue Program he works on fostering transatlantic dialogue and cooperation on climate and energy policies as well as international climate negotiations. Among others, the design and implementation of cap and trade systems, the promotion of renewable energies and policies for energy efficiency are in focus of his program. In 2008, the Heinrich Boell Foundation launched the Transatlantic Climate Policy Group, a special 2-year-program to foster transatlantic cooperation on climate change on the federal, state and city level.
Prior to joining the Heinrich Boell Foundation in 2007, Arne worked as Senior Advisor at the federal parliament in Germany Deutscher Bundestag. He is an expert on environmental, energy policy and green economics and has extensive experience in domestic energy and climate legislation. He holds a Masters of Arts in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin.
