Biography:
Margaret Pageler is a civic leader with almost three decades of achievement at the neighborhood, city, regional and now international level.
Ms. Pageler recently completed three terms on the Seattle City Council, including two years as Council president. She was responsible for the formation of Seattle Public Utilities, a merger of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater and solid waste services. Ms. Pageler is a regional leader in integrated water resource management, linking municipal water supply with protection of public health and the environment.
In November 2003, Ms. Pageler was elected to the Executive Committee of ICLEI, an international consortium of over 500 cities committed to best practices in environmental management.
Margaret Pageler currently serves as a member of the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board where she is one of three administrative law judges ruling on local land use plans and regulations.
