ICLEI Korea Office hosts the 1st Jeju International Environmental Education Forum

On 22-23 November 2007, the ICLEI Korea Office hosted the 1st Jeju International Environmental Education Forum in Jeju (Korea).
Over 200 participants from educational institutions, local governments and NGOs attended this international forum, arousing their interest of the requirements of environmental education for natural preservation and protection in association with climate change.
The ICLEI Korea Office was one of four organizers, along with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Agenda 21, Local Sustainability Alliance of Korea, and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Sustainable Environmental Education Center.
The Forum was held under the auspices of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Government and Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Board of Education, and backed by the Korea Ministry of Environment.
