Congratulations to the ICLEI Members in Australia who were finalists for the 2007 Banksia Environmental Award.

The finalists to be congratulated include:

Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire - for its collaboration with Gosnells and Armadale for their ‘Switch your Thinking!’ program.
Melbourne - for its ‘Water for an Active Future in a Dry City’ initiative.
Clarence - for its ‘Clarence Floodplain Project’.
Townsville - for its ‘Paradise Protected - Magnetic Island’ wastewater recycling project.

The Banksia Environmental Award aims to recognize and reward environmental excellence, promote best practice principles, and contribute to action-learning and education in Australia.
