Support for CouncilsCCP-NZ has a range of materials and tools to assist councils with their work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve their aims of greater sustainability.It has developed links with some very supportive organisations who have useful tools and generous offers for councils to take advantage of to help them reach their milestone goals.
Future Scenarios: Scenarios exploring what the future may look like are a great way to engage in brainstorming activities and prioritize possible actions in the face of a changing climate. There are websites which give good examples of future situations we may find ourselves. Climate Change: We can make a difference is a 9-minute DVD outlining the science of climate change and its implications for New Zealand. Copies are available to help educate council staff and the community. The CCP-Australia website indicates a range of information available for councils. Participants of the program also have access to a host of tools and resources in a password protected area that can be utilised for their actions on climate change
