Visit of Japan’s Senior Vice Minister of the Environment

Japan’s Senior Vice Minister of Environment, Ms Shinako Tsuchiya, visited Freiburg, Germany on invitation by Secretary General Konrad Otto-Zimmermann in May 2007.
At the office of the European Secretariat, Vice Minister Tsuchiya received a presentation on ICLEI’s programs and ICLEI’s approach to sustainable cities. Ms Tsuchiya showed particular interest in ecoBudget as a system for the integrated management of environmental quality and natural resources. Ms. Tsuchiya then proceeded to the Solar Info Center where Executive Director Uwe Ladenburg presented the center’s purposes and technological features.
