City of Cape Town and the LAB 5-step process

All 21 LAB pioneer local governments go through a 5-step process, culminating in the implementation of five new biodiversity initiatives. The steps are as follows:

 

Step 1: Production of a biodiversity report

Step 2: Acceptance of the Durban Commitment  - Cape Town have signed

Step 3: Production of a Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (LBSAP)

Step 4: Acceptance of a commitment to the LBSAP

Step 5: Implementation of five new or improved biodiversity initiatives
