Workshop summary

The workshop was led by Gabrielle Breen, CCP Public Lighting Manager. Speakers included:

  • Bronwyn Pollock, Australian Greenhouse Office, in the Department of the Environment and Heritage
  • Jeff Green, Coffs Harbour City Council, and
  • Paul Brown, Nillumbik Shire Council.

A detailed workshop summary [PDF document, 150 KB] outlines the main points from the speakers' presentations, the technical training and group discussion about technological trials and knowledge, costs benefit analyses of options, and regional collaboration.

The summary also details the four strategic outcomes from the workshop, being local government advocacy, a national local government working group, a host of new resources, and a CCP SPL strategy for 2007-08.

Local government information hub with tools, templates, guidance, contacts, and information about technologies, trials and regulations. Has a Victorian focus but applicable to councils in other states.
