ICLEI Members are a growing network of local governments and associations across Australia and around the world dedicated to bringing about sustainable development for councils and their communities.

There are currently over 1220 ICLEI Members globally and 128 within the Oceania region.

As a democratic organisation each council holds a position on the ICLEI Council, where it can help establish the priorities and direction for ICLEI through the adoption of a strategic plan.

The ICLEI Council elects 21 representatives to serve on the Executive Committee, which oversees the implementation of the strategic plan and ICLEI operations.

ICLEI Oceania’s representatives on the Executive Committee are currently Cr Cathy Oke, City of Melbourne, and Cr Peter Matic, Brisbane City Council.

We highly value councils' membership. Their support helps build our regional presence and advocacy, while contributing their experience and expertise to the worldwide movement of local sustainability action.

ICLEI Membership offers:
