City West Water, South East Water and Yarra Valley Water

City West Water, South East Water and Yarra Valley Water formally partnered with ICLEI Oceania in 2004.

City West Water is responsible for water distribution and sewage services to Melbourne's central business district, inner and western suburbs.

South East Water is responsible for water distribution and sewage services across the south-east region of Melbourne.

Yarra Valley Water is responsible for providing water and sewerage services across the northern and eastern suburbs of the Melbourne region.

Participating Councils

There are currently 27 councils participating in the Water Campaign™ across the Greater Melbourne region. These councils participate in the Water Campaign™ with the support of City West Water, South East Water and Yarra Valley Water.

Resource - Yarra Valley Water 'Water Conservation Awareness Kit':

Yarra Valley Water has created a water conservation kit to encourage the behaviour change necessary to develop a water efficient organisation.  The kit aims to send the message to water users at the time they are using the water.   The kit contains ideas to engage staff and customers to create a water wise culture.  For further information please contact Yarra Valley Water's business conservation team on 9872 1850 or click here to view the complete kit online.

Community Showerhead Exchange

The Victorian Government in collaboration with City West Water, South East Water, Yarra Valley Water and regional water utilities, will distribute 180,000 AAA-rated water saving showerheads to Victorian households over the next three years.
