Four new councils join CCP
We welcome Cassowary Coast Regional, Cook Shire and Hinchinbrook Shire councils, Queensland, and Devonport Council, Tasmania, to the Cities for Climate Protection (CCP) Australia Program as CCP Partners. There are now 238 councils participating in the program.
These four councils are now part of an international network of more than 800 local governments around the world dedicated to making environmental improvements at the local level.
The CCP Australia Program implements greenhouse action through a collaboration between the Australian Government and ICLEI Oceania. The program is funded by the Australian Government.
CCP is a global campaign of ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, delivering action in Australasia, Asia, Europe, South Africa and North and South America.
For more information see the CCP Australia Program website.
If your council is interested in joining the program, contact Martin Brennan, ICLEI Oceania Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ph: +61 (0)3 9639 8688.
