Milestone 3: Action Plan

Milestone 3 is the endorsement of a strategy that outlines how your council will achieve the goals that it has set to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It is council's blueprint of effective and practical measures to reduce the GHG emissions generated within council and in the community.

In order to meet Milestone 3 requirements, the strategy must include the following elements:

• Baseline and forecast emissions profile
• Statement of reduction goal and explanation of how it was developed
• Outline of actions and policies that have been implemented since the base year
• Proposed actions and policies to be implemented
• Commitment to monitoring and reviewing.
