Jabalpur city has a population of approximately 1 million, and is surrounded by mountain ranges and rivers on all sides. There are very few polluting industries in Jabalpur. But, the roads need improvement and roadside green cover, solid waste requires better management, and some areas are prone to flooding. The population is growing at an alarming rate as are the number of slums. Despite these challenges the city looks forward to a bright future.
