Bologna Renews Commitment to Sustainability

ICLEI Member, Bologna (Italy), is continuing to work towards local sustainability by approving Urban Environmental and Sustainability Programme. The Bologna City Council approved the document on 6 April 2009. This strategic programme follows the 2008 Baseline Review and contains objectives and measures referring to the ten Aalborg Commitments, which the Council signed in November 2006.

The Urban Environmental and Sustainablity Programme has a strong focus on local involvement by holding neighbourhood workshops with local stakeholders, fostering communication with citizen and liaising with industry experts.
