Emergency management procedures in Wodonga

The city of Wodonga (Australia), by pursuing community safety as a corporate objective, takes responsibility for identifying, analyzing, evaluating and treating risks.

Wodonga has a Municipal Emergency Management Plan, and ensures that appropriate council resources are available to use in emergency situations.

The council takes responsibility overall for supporting emergency services, and for supporting the community’s recovery from emergencies.

ICLEI’s Resilient Communities & Cities Initiative is aimed at mainstreaming disaster resilience in the planning and decision-making processes of local governments. For more information please contact: resilient.communities@iclei.org.
