Osaka promotes walking
February 13, 2008
The city of Osaka (Japan) promotes walking on its website, providing scenic routes to follow.
On the official website for the city of Osaka, the city government promotes walking as a fun activity by setting out enjoyable walking courses.
There are five courses in total that are suggested, each well described, featuring things to look at along the way; things, the website points out, that are usually not seen when traveling by car or train.
Each route is a different length and in a different location of the city; for instance, the Tempozan route goes along the sea, while the Osaka route is steeped in the city’s history.

Private and commercial vehicles are a leading source of greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants. Reducing vehicle use and using alternative forms of transportation and alternative fuels are some approaches to reducing these vehicular emissions.
