Fayeteville Notebook: A Daily Report on the Saving Money & Saving Energy Workshop

This week about 150 local government elected officials and staff and other interested parties are gathering in Fayetteville, Arkansas, for ICLEI’s 2007 National Workshop, “Saving Energy and Money: The Economic Benefits of Local Climate Action.” Participants hail from 19 states across the country – from New Hampshire, to Alaska to Florida as well as the home state of Arkansas. They are part of the ICLEI peer network, and they are gathering in Fayetteville to discuss strategies, swap best practice ideas, and access technical tools to reduce greenhouse gas emission, achieve cost savings, promote energy efficiency and advance economic vitality.
