Brazilian Conference on Climate Change, 18-20 May 2009, Brasilia (Brazil)

The First Brazilian Journey on Climate Change and Sustainable Consumption will be held from 18-20 May, 2009 in Brasilia, Brazil. The event will be bring together decision makers and high level officials from various levels of government in Brazil and international academia, community members and experts to discuss climate change and its impact on Brazilian cities. The event is an opportunity to learn about how to reduce GHG emissions and better understanding global efforts towards a low carbon economy.
The event is being organized by ICLEI's Latin American and Caribbean Secretariat, in conjunction with its partners, UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments), ANAMMA (National Association of Environment Municipal Departments), CNM (National Confederation of Municipalities), GVces (Getulio Vargas Foundation Centre for Sustainability) and UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme).
