Local Government Climate Roadmap - A Time for Mobilisation, Planning and Action’ Almada, Portugal, 28 - 29 May 2009

The Portuguese international climate Conference ‘Local Government Climate Roadmap - A Time for Mobilisation, Planning and Action’ is taking place in Almada, Portugal, on 28 - 29 May 2009. Focusing on the impact of climate change and appropriate mitigation and adaptation responses, we have a great speaker line-up combined with exciting activities for participants and the local community: a cinema session – ‘CineClimate’ - and fun side-event ‘Climate Gym’.

Regional Director for Europe, Gino Van Begin, and European Climate Coordinator Maryke van Staden, will be sharing key updates at the event. The results of this Conference will feed the Portuguese municipalities’ perspectives into the Local Government Climate Roadmap.
