GREEN WEEK: Session on mobilising local authorities

Local governments are in many respects leading the way in tackling climate change: many in Europe have adopted ambitious targets and comprehensive action plans in support of the EU's climate goals, and the Local Government Climate Roadmap aims to support efforts to achieve a comprehensive post-2012 global climate agreement.

This interactive session organised by ICLEI within the framework of the European Green Week aims to help clarify the needs and views of local authorities on climate change mitigation and adaptation, in particular from a sustainable energy perspective.
