Welcome to ICLEI's photo archive! Here, you will find some highlights and moments over the last 15 years that has made ICLEI what it is today. From the opening of our World Secretariat to the launch of our regional offices to our new and growing campaigns, programs, and partnerships, we are delighted to share these events with you.
(Photo on right) On September 8, 1990, local government leaders from 43 nations gathered at the United Nations in New York to participate in the World Congress of Local Governments for Sustainable Future. On this particular day, ICLEI was founded with the adoption of the ICLEI Charter.
