Biodiversity and Urban Planning
Metropolitan areas in Europe have seen many new initiatives implemented with the goal of reducing biodiversity loss by increasing the role that nature plays, informing citizens and stopping the encroachment of urban development on natural zones.
This new publication (availavle in both French and English) features examples from many French towns and cities. It also showcases examples in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium. So far up to 75% of French denizens have been taught that by reducing their environmental footprint and by using renewable materials a better equilibrium between nature and man can be found.
