Johannesburg GDS 2040 Stratergy

The City of Johannesburg, a long-term ICLEI member, has developed an innovative Growth and Development Strategy (GDS) for the next three decades, as a shared vision for the city's future, with clear and measurable outcomes. The City works, through such action, to build on its reputation as a world class equitable African city, "... that provides real quality of life; a city that provides sustainability for all its citizens; a resilient and adaptive society." ICLEI Africa would like to congratulate the City on its outstanding work.
