A statement for the FAO seminar from Ms Kobie Brand - ICLEI Africa Executive Director

As part of this month’s dedication to Urban and Peri-urban Forestry, falling within the International Year of Forests, a seminar entitled “Climate Change and Cities” was held in Rome on 3 October and formed part of World Habitat Day 2011. Kobie Brand, ICLEI Cities Biodiversity Center's Global Biodiversity Coordinator,was invited by the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) to give a plenary in the opening session of a seminar entitled “Climate Change and Cities” on 3 October.
