Workshop Report
Participants shared views that accounting and reporting of local GHG emissions help reinforcing bottom-up actions at the local level by ensuring transparency and facilitating informed decisions. A general consensus was also reached that reporting of emissions can trigger actions, increase awareness, support prioritization and facilitate access to financing mechanisms.
Welcoming the appropriate design of the workshop and the level and diversity of participation, participants all shared sincerely that there exist concrete elements to take back for further progress in their own work.
As the host of the event, ICLEI expressed gratitude for Government of Mexico City for their support in the organization of the workshop, and to all speakers and participants for their dedicated contributions in the discussions which are all considered as concrete signals for encouraging to implement further steps of the cCCR.
