Replication:
- Develop three “model” communities in India committed to creating local olicies to encourage energy efficiency & increased use of renewable energy.
- Establish & operate capacity centres.
- Set examples & encourage additional municipalities to emulate their progressive energy policies
Network:
- Build an international network of established Model Communities in Europe and Brazil and link them to new ones in India.
- Link relevant academic institutes, NGOs, municipal and professional associations and international agencies to the Network.
Replication:
- Ensure that the Local Renewables Network grows beyond India, by designing and fundraising for more model projects in additional countries.
