ICLEI - South Asia works intensively towards the building of capacity within local governments in the South Asia region to enable them to more effectively handle issues of energy, climate change and environment.

Every project or initiative undertaken has a definite component dealing with awareness raising and capacity building, and some focus purely on this aspect to enable the cities to further undertake programs in the field.
