Active in 125+ countries, we influence sustainability policy and drive local action for low emission, nature-based, equitable, resilient and circular development. Our networkGraz, Austria
With nearly 300,000 inhabitants, Graz is Austria’s second-largest city and is an ICLEI Member since 2020. Mayor Elke Kahr’s recent recognition with the 2023 World Mayor Prize and Awards underscores her “selfless dedication to Graz and its citizens.” Mayor Kahr, in office since 2021, embodies Graz’s pledge to pursue equitable and people-centered, low-emission, nature-based, resilient, and circular development following ICLEI pathways.
