Realising DReAMS (Development of Resources and Access to Municipal Services) for South- and Southeast - Asian Local Authorities
The project aims to enable and support Local Authorities to achieve sustainability in their services and urban governance and assist in attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (namely MDG 1 and 7). The local authorities will be facilitated to take informed and well planned decisions with the help of two tested and accepted innovative tools: the environment and natural resource management system (ecoBUDGET®) and the Poverty Database Monitoring System (PDMS).
The method supports good urban governance and local empowerment by developing management capacity of the local authorities. The project also aims to develop an empowered and inclusive society by increasing participation of Non State Actors and local communities.
