8.30 - 9.15 LG Briefing

Briefing meetings for local government representatives will be held every morning  to inform delegates of the status of the negotiations and to plan activities for the day. A series of Briefing Sheets are available to help local government representatives with negotiations and networking.

 

9.30 - 11.00 ICLEI International Program Center: Carbon Financing for City Development?

This event is organized by the ICLEI International Program Center.

The workshop aims to discuss the manner in which a new global climate agreement can assist the developing world in strengthening transport related adaptation and mitigation efforts. City representatives and international organisations will share experience on developing and implementing mitigation and adaptation measures, as well as discuss financial mechanisms to support low-carbon urban transportation systems. The event is contributing to the Partnership for Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT).

Time for Real Questions is a daily dialogue with Konrad Otto-Zimmermann and global leaders that explores issues shaping the future of our cities and our planet. Information about daily speakers and recordings of the dialogues can be accessed here.

National delegation meetings will be held in the Local Government Climate LOUNGE. These meetings are closed and on invitation only.

 

15.00 - 18.00 Local Government Climate Roadmap - South Asian Regional Meet

This event is organised by ICLEI South Asia,

in cooperation with the British High Commission and NIUA.

20.00 - 22.00 Kaohsiung City: Towards a Sustainable Future


This event is organized by the environmental protection bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, Taiwan.
