COP 15 Events

Before and during COP 15, there were countless and diverse events happening in and around Copenhagen, including workshops and conferences on climate issues.

Between 7 and 18 December, you could:

  • Join open events at the LOUNGE (between 7-18 December).
  • Act as an LG Ambassador to support the strong voice of LGs during COP 15 (in corridors, in specific side events, in plenary rooms).
  • Speak and interact with members of your country’s national delegation, and those of other countries in the daily Meetings with Parties (only for local elected leaders).
  • Visit side events. If you had informed us that you are interested to act as a speaker, we could facilitate an invitation to selected side events to represent LGs.
  • Report back – let your colleagues, other communities, the local / national media and national government representatives know what is happening.  First-hand information on the progress of the climate negotiations is valuable!
  • Meet many interesting experts, representatives from NGOs, institutions and  other communities – motivate them, get inspiration and contact potential partners for future climate activities.
  • Join a study tour in Copenhagen, Malmö, and Växjö.
