ICLEI Energy Services (IES) is the technical services consulting arm of ICLEI. Since 1995 IES has provided a diverse set of services to help municipalities achieve their energy and emission reduction goals. The IES team has extensive knowledge of energy management issues with over 100 years cumulative experience in local governments, private sector energy service firms, and utilities.
IES specializes in Strategic Energy Planning. Detailed physical audits of municipal facilities are conducted by IES's partner, Efficiency Engineering, using the BOSS Online energy management tool to obtain accurate energy consumption data and determine the efficiency potential for individual facilities. The tool facilitates the energy data management to benchmark, monitor, verify and print customized reports for users. Local governments such as Sudbury, Chicago, and Toronto, have benefited from IES's expertise in energy management and its commitment to demonstrating the value of sustainability.
