More than 1220 cities, towns, counties and municipal associations on all continents constitute ICLEI's membership. Membership in the Council continues to grow and we now have over 1220 members located in 70 countries around the world who represent populations from both developing and developed world regions.

The most rapid membership growth currently takes place in South East Asia and Oceania. ICLEI has over 41 members in the South Asia region.
