These files contain explanations for data that has been previously provided to councils as part of the CCP Australia program, and in June 2009 as part of the CCP milestone support program wrap up activities. Please download these explanations and store them with your council's data.
Note: The production of the materials on this website (except the CCP Victoria Rural Workbook Explanation) was funded by the Australian Government for use by local governments which were part of the Cities for Climate Protection Australia Milestone Support Program that ended on 30 June 2009. Please note that ICLEI Oceania Program and Project support, the Greenhouse Gas Application (GGA) and milestone recognition is no longer available.
- CCP Greenhouse Gas Inventory Data Extraction: [PDF, 928KB] In June 2009 the CCP Greenhouse Gas Applications (GGA) software was decommissioned. To assist councils with their climate change work, the data was extracted from the GGA and provided to all CCP councils in Excel format. This document explains how these data exports are organised and how councils can manipulate the data to obtain emission reports.
- Community Energy Use Profile Explanation: [PDF, 204KB] The Community Energy Use Profile is an estimate of energy use by the residential, commercial, industrial and transportation sectors within a council's community. This document provides an overview and details of the data and the methods used to derive these energy use estimates.
- CCP Victoria Rural Workbook Explanation: [PDF, 91KB] The Rural Workbook contains an estimation of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions from rural communities. This document explains the methodology and sources of the emission estimates.
- Measures 07/08 Data Explanation: An explanation of the measures data summary is contained in the first tab of the data file councils received (not in an additional explanation document).
