The ecoBUDGET pamphlet was jointly launched by ICLEI, UNEP and UNHABITAT. ecoBUDGET is an Environmental Management System developed by ICLEI especially for local governments, in order to plan, monitor, and report the consumption of natural resources within the municipal territory. With ecoBUDGET local governments present tangible achievements of their sustainability oriented policies to the public.

At ICLEI World Congress 2009, the four Asian regional ICLEI offices have announced 'ICLEI Asia', a unit to serve Asian local governments. Currently 10% of our Members are in Asia, yet they represent 39% of the total population served by ICLEI Worldwide.
